One of the wonderful side effects of having a partner whose special interest is Godzilla (and kaiju in general) is that I now have the context to know that this is literally the stated motivation of a huge portion of kaiju in the franchise

you’re telling me richard siken blasted that teenage girl who wanted to interview him for her english class meanwhile he’s writing fanfiction based on shows meant for her age group

for everyone who is asking: a 15 year old high school student emailed richard siken for an assignment asking him about how his life shaped his work and he responded with this

and mentions it quite often in interviews to like. flex i guess. anyways now he’s tweeting about how he writes supernatural incest fanfiction and saying you shouldn’t “bully” people for stuff like that lollll

the best song ever made? Well, in 1980 a coked-out Italian producer and a vapid New York society girl made a song about being a mindless hole, for a movie about a male prostitute who gets framed for murder. A few years later Disney approached a novelty musician from the late 50s about making modern music sound like it was sung by cartoon chipmunks for an upcoming piece of direct-to-video shovelware. Then in 2015 someone slowed the cartoon chipmunk cover of the male prostitute song down so the vocals sound normal but it’s the instruments that sound fucked up
